Yugi and the Magic Puzzle 3

Yami looked up from his bowl and stared directly into amethyst eyes. He smirked as he watched a small red blush form on Yugi's small cheeks.

"Why are you blushing?" Yami asked curiously.

Yugi, trying to avoid the question, shoved a huge spoonful of cereal into his mouth. "Wha' are you tawking abou'?" he asked with his mouth full.

Yami shook his head and chuckled, "Don't try to avoid the question. It is quite obvious that you are blushing. See for yourself." He held up his spoon, which turned into a mirror, and showed Yugi.

Yugi's eyes widened as he saw the blush crawl across each. 'I am blushing!' he thought to himself. 'Is it because…' but he stopped his train of thought as he looked at Yami. He just remembered that Yami could hear his thoughts, but he didn't hear Yami say anything. What he didn't know was the only way Yami could hear him was unless he was wearing the Millennium Puzzle.

After breakfast, Yugi took his bowl and Yami's bowl over to the sink and washed them out. He then put the cereal back in its original spot and finished up in the kitchen by cleaning up the mess he left when he dropped his spoon back into the bowl.

Yami watched the young boy with interest as he remained sitting in his spot. He watched as the little hands of the boy glided across the table on top of the washcloth that was being used. As Yugi left the table, he watched the little body scurry across the room over to the sink and then out of sight. Yami was so enthralled by Yugi that the moment he noticed that Yugi was gone, he was out of sight.

Meanwhile in his bedroom, Yugi was digging his way through his closet looking for something he could wear for today, not even taking any notice that Yami had just entered the room.

He let out a loud groan and said, "Nothing to wear! I wanna wear something besides my school uniform!" He let out another groan, earning himself a familiar chuckle.

"What do you mean you have nothing to wear?" questioned Yami. "You have a variety of clothes you could be wearing." He strolled over to the closet and peeked inside the closet.

As Yami rummaged through the closet, Yugi, who was staying out of the way, suddenly got a whiff of something really smelly. He couldn't stand it and he couldn't even describe what it was! But he knew one thing: it was coming from Yami!

"Ugh!" he exclaimed as he covered his nose. "Yami-kun! When was it the last time you took a bath?!"

Yami came out of the closet and sniffed at his skin. "Whew!" he exclaimed. "I think it's been a century or two since I took one!"

"Well since I have nothing else to do," Yugi said as he came up behind Yami and gave him a little push. "I'll give you a bath!" He pushed Yami out of his room, down the hallway and into the bathroom.

"Now you wait right here," Yugi ordered him as he lowered his hands.

"Is that a command?" asked Yami as he folded his arms across his chest.

"Huh?" Yugi questioned. "What kind of question is that?"

"The kind of question I need to know," he snapped as he turned to face Yugi. "I must serve whoever summons me from the Millennium Puzzle and I must know if what you said is a command! It is a curse I have lived with for five millennia!"

Yugi backed away a couple steps from his lookalike and finally answered Yami's question. "Yes, Yami-kun. It is a command."

Yami bent down so that his face was inches away from Yugi's face. "Now, was it that hard to answer my question?" he said with a little tone of tease, earning a pout from Yugi. "Now go on and do what you have to do. I'll stay here and wait for you and then I'll tell you…"

"Tell me what?" asked Yugi with curiosity.

"You'll see…" Yami answered coolly.

Yugi turned around really quickly to hide his blush and he quickly left the bathroom. Yugi was filled with so many different emotions but he didn't understand these emotions that seemed to flow through his body. Was it embarrassment? Discomfort? Lust? Desire? Or…. Love? Yugi didn't know much about love, except for the love his Grandpa gave him, and he couldn't really tell if it was love. As he reached for the Millennium Puzzle, he heard the phone go off. He flung the rope of the pendant around his neck and rushed out of the room to get the phone.

"Hello, Muoto residents," he said as he answered the phone. "Yugi speaking."

"Yugi?" answered a voice. "It's Téa, how are you doing?"

"Oh, Téa! Hi!" Yugi responded. "I'm doing alright, how about you?"

"I've been pretty good," Téa answered. "We haven't talked in a while. Anyway I called to ask if you are doing anything this afternoon."

"No, why?" he asked.

"Well," Téa responded. "I was gonna get together with some kids from school at my house and I was wondering if you wanted to join us."

There was a long pause between Yugi and Téa.

"Yugi…" she finally said. "I know you're going through a lot and I want to help you in any way I can. I told the others that I was gonna invite you and that if they say or do anything bad to you that they would have to leave."

"… Alright," Yugi answered. "I'll come over. What time?"

"1:30, is that okay?" Téa told him.

Yugi looked at the digital clock that was sitting on the counter of the kitchen, which read 11:45. "Yup, that sounds alright," he responded.

"Alright I'll see you then, Yugi," Téa said. "Bye, Yugi." And with the sound of a click on the receiver, the conversation ended.

Yugi placed the phone down and sighed. 'Why did I say yes?' he thought to himself. 'I should've said no, but I couldn't say no to her…' He walked out of the kitchen and over to one of the hallway closets. He picked up a very fluffy towel from off the shelf along with a special kind of shampoo and conditioner used for hair of different color and bath bubbles. Then he walked toward the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom Yami was no longer standing in the spot that he left him in, but actually floating there, well more like sitting while floating. He seemed to be meditating while he was floating there, with his navy blue tail curled underneath him, his hands clasped and resting upon his lap, and his eyes were shut.

Yugi tipped-toed pass the meditating lookalike and over to the bathtub. He turned the knobs and a stream of water flowed out of the faucet. He tested the water with his fingers, making sure it was not too hot, not too cold, but just right. He poured some of the bath bubbles into the water and watch as bubbles began to form inside the tub.

Yami turned his head slightly to the side so he could see what the young child was doing. He watched as the bubbles began to fill the tub and then continued to watch Yugi. When he saw Yugi look up he quickly turned his head and a thought came to him: he was going to have a little bit of fun. He let his navy blue tail relax onto the ground then took control of his tail. He let it float over to Yugi.

Yugi, who wasn't paying attention at the time, turned the water off and once again tested the water. 'Perfect!' he thought to himself, not hearing the chuckle that came from Yami. He just began to stand up, with his back toward the tub, when suddenly something blue floated before him.

"What the-?!" Yugi exclaimed. "Oh, wait a minute. It's just Yami's tail… Yami's tail?!" He stumbled backwards, lost his balance, and-
                                                  
                                                     KA-SPLASH!!!!!

Yami quickly turned around and not only saw water all over the floor but a very drenched Yugi sitting in the bathtub with both his legs hanging off the edge of the tub, his one arm lying flat against the wall, his other arm behind his back, and his favorite pair of pajamas drenched.

"So," he said as he turned his whole entire body around. "Is the water ready?"

Yugi just pouted.
